I’M BEN POWELL, A DESIGNER & FILMMAKER BASED IN BEAUTIFUL VANCOUVER, BC
I’m currently a Design Lead, working with small teams of smart, passionate people at MetaLab. I enjoy designing digital products that have a positive impact on the world.
Most recently, I worked on Tempest, a product which provides the education, tools, and community needed to build a life free from alcohol. It featured in Bustle and Vogue when it launched earlier this year. Prior to Tempest, I worked with the team at Google DeepMind on a test results viewing app, which is reportedly saving doctors 2 hours a day. If you’re interested in these projects and more of my work, check out my portfolio.
I love making films and have done so for Monument Valley & Moodnotes, as well as making personal films of my travels.
Last September I moved from London to Vancouver and its one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. My days are now filled with skiing in the Winter, hiking in the Summer and the best tacos all year round.
In a wider effort to simplify my life, I’ve stripped this website back to the essentials. You can get in touch with me via twitter, instagram and linkedin or at ben@gogetcreative.co.uk
